The real key to any air intake system is the filter. While the craftsmanship and quality of material used to make the air tube (and box) does affect performance; the real key to great a great performing intake system is how efficiently air can be moved through the air filter. The problem with most aftermarket air intake systems (and filters) is that they either flow well or filter well, but not both. It's really quite simple. Focus too heavily on filtration and the air flow will suffer. Or, focus too heavily on air flow and you run the risk of allowing too much dirt into the engine. The 75-5085 has two airflow configurations depending on your needs. Using the included silicone box plug will seal the airbox making the front facing primary inlet scoop the main source of airflow.
Less Restrictive Than Stock
We swapped the location of the intake box and battery, allowing our intake to not only be closer to but also directly in line with the front air inlet. In addition, our intake tube has minimal bends as it connects to the turbo inlet. These details result in a significant decrease in restriction compared to stock intake.
Injection Molded MAF Sensor Plate
In conjunction with a foam MAF Sensor Gasket, our injection molded MAF Sensor Plate ensures a quality seal around the MAF sensor that ensures a true OE O-ring seal and prevents air leaks.
